The Secret Knowledge Hidden in Tag Pairs
Interesting tool, Tagatum, looks for common pairings of tags in blog posts. This would be a way of gauging media (blog) coverage, based on a given keyword. As an example, I entered 'Disney', and then looked for pairs. While 'film' is a highly popular tag compared to 'hannah montana' (according to Tagatum), the 'disney - hannah montana' pair ranks above the 'disney - film pair'.
There were a number of other 'title-based' tags that also came up very high in pairing with 'disney'.

Why No One Links to Your Best Posts (And What to Do About It) | Copyblogger
Insightful as ever Copyblogger, talks about the changing nature of linksharing. The exploding amount of blogs and links to read is going to change the dynamics a lot. For All You Do, Bud, This Blog Is About You - WSJ.com
Look into Miller's beer blog. Two take aways 1.) the effect of a sponsored blog on traditional trade publications. 2.) Miller gives the author the leeway to write negative stories about miller. I think if you are planning a similar publication pay attention to taking the material seriously i.e. Major Nelson (xbox) vs. the Playstation Blog. Users will turn off if you either 1.) lie about who you are 2.) or don't make sincere compelling content.
